Everett today is a major commercial hub along the busy shipping routes of Puget Sound. It is home to 110,000 people and is the county seat. However, Everett is one of the three major ports on Puget Sound. This means Everett was historically overlooked. Everett has seen a resurgence in popularity due to soaring property prices and the exploding population of Puget Sound. This is good news for both locals and newcomers.
Everett can be found right at the Puget Sound, where the Snohomish River meets with the sea. The residents have stunning views of the Olympic Mountains from the many parks along the Sound.
You can take a ferry to Jetty Island, just off the mainland, or you can stay in the city and enjoy Howarth Park directly on the water.
