#6 Powder Canyon

This expansive natural area features chaparral hills & trails for hiking & horseback riding.

Powder Canyon

Powder Canyon leads you through beautiful wooded areas, into a canyon that cuts through the Puente Hills and then turns around to climb back up the hills. This route is more popular with horses (there are corrals and centers at each end of the canyon), but it’s less well-traveled by hikers than other routes in the hills. You may find yourself with the whole place to yourself at times.

La Bonita Park, which covers 22.6 acres, was purchased by the City of La Habra in 1957. Development began in 1960. There are 4 lighted baseball fields and an open field. 22-acres with baseball fields, trails, a skate park & playground, plus a Boys & Girls Club facility.
