Gaido’s first restaurant opened in 1911 by San Giacinto Gaido. It has been serving Galveston residents (as well many celebrities like Alfred Hitchcock), amazing seafood and food for over 100 years. The ‘coastal favorite’ offers a variety of oyster and crab dishes, including ‘Oysters Mari,’ cornmeal-fried oysters, with bacon and hollandaise and spinach-crab dip, as well as delicious appetizers such as creole-crawfish fondue and gumbo, and ‘Watkin’s Bisque.

This seafood-cream bisque is made with shrimp, tomatoes and onions. Gaido’s seafood menu features a variety of delicious items including blackened Atlantic tuna and pecan-encrusted catfish.
