Leonis Adobe is the oldest building still standing in San Fernando Valley. It was built in 1902 as a private residence of Miguel Leonis, a wealthy rancher. It has been included in the National Register of Historic Places. It’s now a living museum, which transports visitors back to California ranch life. The museum is open for all ages. The museum shows how life was back in 1800s England, with a tour of the blacksmith shop. Visitors younger than 18 can feed and pet many ranch animals.

King Gillette Ranch, Calabasas, California

King C. Gillette, the razor baron, once owned the King Gillette Ranch. It now belongs to California’s Malibu Creek State Park. The public is welcome to visit the ranch and its many public spaces.
